Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge
OK, so today didn't go as planned.
After a long night of high winds--30-40 mph--I checked the weather (loving my new smartphone!) and found not only a new "wind advisory" but that it was expected to get worse during the day, with gusts of 60 mph.
No fires, couldn't keep stoves lit, and now dangerous.
Yes, we called it a day and got everyone delivered to their homes safely.
Today I:
- Made the call: we bugged out! Rarely have to do this, but sometimes circumstances call for it.
- Helped a couple of Scouts buy breakfast at McDonalds.
- Spoke to a Scout who is trying to finish off Personal Management before the Board of Review on Wednesday.
The rest of the day was unexpectedly free. Do your Scouting plans ever get interrupted?
